If you love books and are looking for a unique experience, you will be enchanted by a visit of the quaint barn stacked with books of about any genre you could possibly image. Tucked away in the beautiful Hillsdale countryside, the ride from Route 23 is worth the visit itself.
So much more charming than any commercial book store could ever be, you will have a truly special experience perusing through newer (I spotted plenty of books I have been meaning to buy in the last couple of years, but at a much better price!) and older books while sitting on comfy seating provided throughout the barn. You can even get yourself a free cup of coffee or tea on the second level that also has a great selection of old records, some art and a whimsical space for kids looking out through huge windows on the pretty gardens.
Don’t forget to visit the free section located outside in the midst of magical cottage gardens with plenty of more seating and the sale section in its own little house. Bring cash, since it is the accepted payment method.
